Bus stop in Assam gets turned into a library

One simply has to submit an old book to get a new one from this library.

Passing the time while waiting for a bus has got even more interesting after a bus stop in Assam was converted into a library. The novel experiment carried out at the Brahmaputra Literature Festival, which is the first ever literary festival to be held in the state, was an instant success among attendees.

Anoop Khanna, director of an outdoor advertising agency, set up book shelves, multi-coloured lights, and around 200-250 books at the special ‘library’. He even put up a board that read: ‘The world belongs to those who read’ at the bus stop.

What’s even better is that one simply has to submit an old book to get a new one from this library.
