Woman throws ink at Arvind Kejriwal, AAP alleges BJP scripted attack

The woman claimed to be a worker of 'Aam Aadmi Sena' and levelled graft charges against Delhi govt.

New Delhi: A woman on Sunday threw ink on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while he was delivering a speech at a public meeting in Chhatrasal Stadium.

The incident occurred during the thanksgiving rally of the odd-even scheme in the national capital. Chaos prevailed at the venue for a few minutes when an unidentified woman rushed close to the dais and threw ink at him.

Security personnel immediately rushed to drag away the protesting woman from the stage where Kejriwal was standing and she was detained.

Kejriwal maintained him calm throughout the episode and asked the police to leave the woman.

"Leave her; she is talking about some scam. Please take that paper from her she is mentioning some CNG scam," he said.

AAP leader and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia alleged that the BJP was behind the incident.

"The whole incident was scripted by the BJP with the help of the Delhi Police," Sisodia said.

The woman has been identified as Bhavna, she claimed to be worker of "Aam Aadmi Sena" a group that has been formed by party rebels.

"The Delhi government is behind a CNG scam in the name of odd-even plan. I have proof of the scam on CD. I had asked for an appointment from the chief minister but wasn't given time," she alleged as security personnel whisked her away.

She was taken to the Model Town police station where police interrogated her over the incident.
