It’s almost been 15 years since Trisha debuted as the witty female lead, Sandhya, in Mounam Pesiyadhe. The actress has been unparalleled in her appeal and aura. Fresh from her long vacation in the USA with her family, Trisha was spotted at the launch of a new restaurant in Chennai.
“It was quite a long holiday, but I needed one and I feel completely rejuvenated now,” Trisha begins. Being at a restaurant, food had to be the inevitable topic — “I know people don’t buy it when I say I’m a complete foodie, but I live to eat. The main perk of travelling for work is that I can try so many types of food. ”
The actress has always said that she would like to open a restaurant of her own. “Yes, that is a plan I have had for quite a long time now. It will happen, but sometime in the distant future,” says Trisha, who has a handful of releases and projects in the pipeline.
The Kodi actress is making her first step in Malayalam with Hey Jude opposite Nivin Pauly. “I start shooting for the film from the June 1, and it’s a project that I am very excited about,” she quips.
Another big project in the pipeline for Trisha is Saamy 2, about which she says, “Unlike other sequels, which release immediately, this one is happening after many years, which I think will be a very interesting take.” The actress, who has three releases (Garjanai, Mohini, Sathuranga Vettai 2) lined up, concludes, saying, “2017, for me, more than the releases, is about the risks I have taken in terms of the roles I have chosen to play. I hope the audiences accept it.”
