Mohanlal and Joshiy join hands for an OTT project

Mohanlal continues to enthrall audiences with his diverse roles and remarkable talent.

Mohanlal and the seasoned director Joshiy have been a dynamic duo, delighting audiences with blockbuster movies for decades. Now, they're back with their latest creation, "Rambaan," with an intriguing twist – actor-writer Chemban Vinod Jose takes the helm as the writer.

The film's title reveal showcases a captivating concept art of Mohanlal, standing atop a luxury car, set against an abstract backdrop of buildings and roads. He wields a substantial sledgehammer in his right hand while firmly gripping an assault rifle with his left. All the while, he maintains his iconic Veshti look, a beloved and iconic style.

Speculations about a collaboration between Mohanlal and Joshiy have been circulating since the director's return in 2019 with "Porinju Mariam Jose." There were also reports of Chemban Vinod Jose crafting a story for Joshiy, but it wasn't until recently that the project was confirmed as a Mohanlal starrer.

The film is jointly produced by Chemban Vinod Jose, Einstin Zac Paul, and Shailesh R Singh. Cinematographer Sameer Thahir, known for his work in "Minnal Murali," will capture the visuals, while the editing will be helmed by Vivek Harshan, the editor behind "Mahaan."

Adding to the film's allure, the music will be composed by Vishnu Vijay, known for his hit soundtrack in the Tovion Thomas film "Thallumaala." Fans can anticipate the release of the Mohanlal-Joshiy collaboration in 2025, aligning with the festivals of Vishu and Easter.

As for Mohanlal's professional endeavors, he recently graced the screens with a cameo appearance in this year's blockbuster film, "Jailer," alongside Rajinikanth and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar. The versatile actor is also set to appear in the Malayalam courtroom drama "Neru," directed by "Drishyam" director Jeethu Joseph.

Furthermore, Mohanlal is on board for the Lijo Jose Pelissery film "Malaikottai Vaaliban" and the pan-Indian production "Vrushabha," produced by Ekta Kapoor. Currently, he is immersed in the filming of "L2: Empuraan," the highly anticipated sequel to his 2019 hit "Lucifer," directed by actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran. With these exciting projects in the pipeline, Mohanlal continues to enthrall audiences with his diverse roles and remarkable talent.
