Tamil star Dhanush is teaming up with ace Telugu director Sekhar Kammula for a big ticket entertainer to be produced by exhibitor-turned-producer Sunil Narang. Pretty actress Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play the female lead in this wholesome entertainer. “The regular shooting of the big ticket film would commence from January 17, 2024,," says a source and adds, "Sekhar Kammula is known for his exceptional films and has again penned a unique script to showcase Dhanush in a never-before-seen role," he adds
Earlier, talking to Deccan Chronicle, Sunil Narang had said, "Tamil superstar Dhanush is an actor-par-excellence and could pull off any kind of role with consummate ease. His popularity has spread all over the world. Hence, director Sekhar Kammula has weaved an exciting script to suit his rising popularity and also to reach out to pan-India viewers in a big way. It will boast of big casting with top actors from various industries including Bollywood. It will go on floors with a huge budget and it will be one of the biggest ones in Telugu cinema," he added.
Interestingly, national award winning actor Dhanush has been working with Telugu directors these days. After working with young director Venky Atluri in 'Sir' and tasting success, Dhanush joins hands with Sekhar Kammula who is known for his youthful entertainers like 'Happy Days' and 'Fidaa' and also for etching out powerful characters for both hero and heroines in his movies. "Dhanush's fan following among Telugu viewers is growing by the day so he could do more films with Telugu directors," the source concludes.
