Allu Ajrun’s role as a lorry cleaner in his forthcoming film Pushpa has been generating much hype. While his look and the film’s backdrop are already out, we have learnt that the actor has to spend three and half hours to get into the skin of his character — two hours to put on the makeup, and one and half hours to get it off.
Apparently, a lot of detailing went into getting his look and physique right for the movie. The actor’s eyebrows, hair, moustache, skin tone, etc., are to resemble those of a daily-wager. Also, the actor had to get a slight tan to look a few shades darker than his usual skin tone and get a rugged look that his character needs.
“This is why Allu Arjun has to report to the sets early because it takes a lot of time to put on the makeup required for his character’s looks. The actor’s outfits should also reflect that of a labourer, so he will be seen sporting lungi and shorts for most part of the film,” says a source.
The actor is currently shooting in Tenkasi, where director Sukumar is filming a song and an action sequence. The actor’s trainer and chef also flew with him to ensure that his workout regimen and diet is not disturbed.
