Actress Dhanya Balakrishna is a familiar face in Tollywood and Kollywood. But now, this star is gearing up to make a splash in Malayalam. Dhanya will have a crucial role in the upcoming Love Action Drama, starring Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara. Shooting for the romantic entertainer, which is being directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, is currently underway.
Dhanya, who is thrilled to work with Nivin and Nayanthara, says, “I had a few offers earlier in Malayalam, but did not sign any project. This project has been worth the wait.”
The actress plays Nayanthara’s close friend in the film. “I worked with her earlier in a Tamil film, Raja Rani, and she’s a cool co-star; working with her is always a pleasure,” says Dhanya, who has already started shooting for her part. The actress is also learning Malayalam. “I actually play a Tamilian in the film, so I had to only speak Tamil. But I am slowly picking up Malayalam because I am getting interesting scripts here,” she beams.
