Kurnool: A video has surfaced showing film star and Hindupur MLA Balakrishna allegedly giving money to a person at a road show for the August 23 Nandyal byelection on Wednesday. The video grab shows that Balakrishna was handing over a currency note to a person from a lorry to a person who was walking alongside the vehicle. Tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya was standing by his side.
Returning officer for the Nandyal bypoll V. Prasanna Venkatesh said he had received a complaint from a poll observer. He said it would be referred to the Election Commission for instructions.
