Tammannah has to take a pay cut for plum offers?

With young divas like Rashmika Mandanna and Sreeleela giving tough competition, industry sources are urging glam diva Tammannah Bhatia to take a pay cut. The actress who swayed the audience off their feet with a racy number ‘Kaavaalaa’ with superstar Rajnikanth, hasn’t signed any new Telugu film. “She has to take a cut in her remuneration and then she could bag more plum offers,” says a source, who claims that the ‘F2’ actress demands Rs 3 crore per film. “Her craze and popularity are intact among Telugu filmmakers but she needs to reduce her pay by Rs 50 to 60 lakhs to bag plum offers,” he adds.

The actress who delivered hits like ‘F2’, also tasted flops with films like ‘Gurthunda Seethakalam’ and even her role in ‘Bholaa Shankar’ went unnoticed. “She is getting terrific dance numbers since she charges Rs 80 lakhs to 1 crore per song. Besides, she is one of the top dancing stars in Indian cinema to become a sought-after diva for special numbers. On the acting front, she has to compete with younger names like Rashmika, Sreeleela and Mrunal Thakur so she has to revise her strategy a bit,” he points out

Of course, she is gorgeous and looking fit, still meaty roles are eluding her Telugu. "She has to pick an author-backed role and prove her acting prowess, rather than confining herself to usual glam roles where she has nothing much to do, other than matching dance steps with heroes and indulging in romantic moments,” he adds.

"No doubt, she has kept her ratings intact by sharing screen space with big Telugu stars but she has to consider pay revision to extend her innings in Tollywood," he concludes.
