Actor Karthikeya’s leading ladies, in the forthcoming film Hippie, have finally been chosen. The film’s director T.N. Krishna had been searching for fresh faces for the film and has roped in Digangana Suryavanshi and Jazba Singh as the female leads.
While Jazba Singh is a model from Mumbai, Digangana has done a few Hindi soap operas. Both the actresses will be making their Telugu debut with this film, which has just commenced shooting. Since the film is a romantic comedy, director Krishna was very specific that wanted to cast young girls as female leads. Karthikeya would be shown in a new avatar. So to complement his onscreen appeal, the filmmakers have roped in fresh faces,” informs a member from the film’s unit.
Noted producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who has previously bankrolled big-ticket Tamil films, like Thuppakki, Theri and Kabali, is producing this film, which was formally launched in Hyderabad recently. Meanwhile, Karthikeya will be seen in a new avatar in this film.
