Inspired by Vijayashanthi, Payal Rajput plays an intrepid cop in \'5W\'

In a departure from glam roles, she looked to \'Pratighatana\' star to get the body language right

Hyderabad: We have so far seen Payal Rajput in glamorous roles, but in 5W (Who, Where, When, What and Why), being directed by Pranadeep, the actress plays a gritty cop.
The first look of the crime thriller was launched on Thursday in Hyderabad.
Payal reveals that yesteryears actress Vijayashanthi was her inspiration.
“I was inspired by Vijayashanti garu. I have seen her cop films. Also, I watched a few English and Bollywood films to get my body language right,” the RX 100 actress explains, adding that she even spoke to some friends who were police officers.
“This role is a complete makeover compared to my earlier films. Also, this role gave me a lot of scope to shed my inhibitions,” the Venky Mama star said.
