While they have not worked together, Amitabh has consistently shown his support for Rajini's work, even participating in a press conference for "Robot," which featured Amitabh's daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai.

The film, which remains untitled for now, was officially announced in March and will be backed by Lyca Productions. It is set to be directed by TJ Gnanavel, renowned for his work in "Jai Bhim." Rajinikanth expressed, "I'm doing my 170th film with director Gnanavel and Lyca, which will be a huge entertainer while conveying a social message."

Anirudh Ravichander has been enlisted to compose the music for this Tamil film, produced by Subaskaran. Alongside Rajinikanth, the movie will feature actors Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan.

Rajinikanth recently graced the silver screen in "Jailer," directed by Nelson, which made a successful box office run. The movie exceeded expectations and proved to be a victory for the veteran actor.

In addition to Thalaivar 170, Rajinikanth has an upcoming project with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's "Lal Salaam."

As for Amitabh Bachchan, he was last seen in movies such as "Brahmastra," "Goodbye," and "Uunchai." His future releases include "Ganapath" and "Kalki 2898 AD."
