Undeniably, the heady combination of superstar Mahesh Babu and sensational director S S Rajamoli has triggered a lot of hype and hoopla around the magnum opus. SSMB29 will go down as one of the breath-taking and memorable films in Indian cinema. “Right now, pre-production is in full swing, while the script is turning out to the utmost satisfaction of all involved in the massive entertainer,” says a source.
The source further claims that the film would be a perfect blend of varied emotions to cater to all sections of the audience. “It will be packed with action-adventure and entertainment in the right measure to enthrall viewers across the globe.” However, he dismisses a few rumors revolving around the film. On reports about Rs 1500 crore budget for the film, he explains, “These reports are baseless and unfounded since they haven’t finalized the final budget yet. Also, the production house is capable and prepared for big investments as per the demands of the script,” he points out.
Commenting on rumors about tying up with a Hollywood production house and also Hollywood actors being roped in, he informs “These are another bunch of untrue rumors. Neither they are joining hands with a Hollywood producer nor casting has been finalized. Except for Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli, nothing has been fixed yet. Of course, work is going on to pick the right cast and crew and it will happen in due course of time, “he adds.
With the film already on floors with pre-production work underway and the location hunt in full throttle, the much-awaited film is set to begin shooting in 2024. “Tentatively, the shooting for the film could commence in April or May but it all depends on various factors and everything has to fall in place. And there is no hurry since it's a once-in-lifetime film for the production house,” he informs.
The magnum opus is bankrolled by ace Telugu producer Dr K L Narayana, who has delivered blockbusters like ‘Santhosham, ‘Kshana Kshanam’, 'Rakhi' and “Hello Brother’ with big stars like Jr NTR, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh. “They are adept in dishing out star-studded movies and this film with Mahesh Babu will catapult their banner a few notches up,” he concludes.
