Chiranjeevi reluctant to do father-son family drama?

Chiru wanted to do am action saga for his doting daughter Sushmita Konidela

Megastar Chiranjeevi is apprehensive to do a family entertainer revolving around father-son relationship narrated by noted director Kalyan Krishna and put it on the back burner. “He couldn’t score a hit with the brother-sister story in ‘Bholaa Shankar’, so he was a bit hesitant to do another family drama immediately. Although he liked the story which had love, family emotions and entertainment,” says a source.
The much-hyped film was to be produced by his doting daughter Sushmita Konidela, so megastar wanted to be doubly sure since he wants to give her banner a fillip with a huge blockbuster. “Bholaa Shankar’ boasted of brother-sister sentiment, wherein the hero hides his past to help his adopted sister (Keerthy Suresh) to scale new heights in her life and moves to Calcutta. But the sentimental drama didn’t click with his huge fans and Telugu audience,” he adds.

Right now, he will be focusing on his socio-fantasy to be directed by young maker Vashishta and it would be his 157th film with top heroine Anushka Shetty playing a key role.

Meanwhile, if he finds a mass entertainer that would live up to his larger-than-life image, he could commence his daughter’s production house with a bang.
