For actress Anuja Sathe, who plays the role of an aspiring cricketer in Tamanna, it was an unbelievable moment when she presented the Man of the Match trophy to cricketer R. Ashwin at the post match ceremony in Bengaluru.
The young actress, who plays Dharaa on the show was in for a pleasant surprise after being chosen as the lucky one to be part of India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup match. The opportunity also gave her a chance to witness a live cricket match for the first time in her life.
Talking about her experience, an excited Anuja said, “This occasion was the first of its kind for me and watching the Indian cricket team play live left me overwhelmed. Presenting the award was another plus. The highlight of the day was when the entire crowd recognised and cheered for me. This for sure will be my greatest memory as well as for my on-screen character, Dharaa Solanki.”
An ardent follower of cricketer, Anuja was thrilled to bits watching her idols, Indian team captain M.S. Dhoni and batsman Virat Kohli finally win the nail-biting match for India.
Talking about the same, the actress adds, “The show is about women chasing their dreams. Watching our captain M.S. Dhoni and the Indian cricket team win the match taught me that nothing is impossible if one relentlessly keeps trying.”
