Dil Raju to Meet KCR and YS Jagan to Resolve Issues

Leading producer Dil Raju, who became the president of Telugu Film of Commerce, is reportedly planning to meet Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to resolve long-pending issues very soon.

Before that, he will be holding discussions with producers, exhibitors and distributors to make a list of important issues to be placed before the Chief Ministers of the two states. “Dil Raju is determined to resolve a few issues like industry status for Telugu film industry, wherein power charges would be cut to Rs 3 per unit from Rs 7 and enables to receive loans from financial institutions and so on,” says a source.

Dil Raju will also be requesting for single-window clearance for shooting permissions for Telugu films in picturesque spots in both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh since producers are facing some issues with police at some places. “At times, producers are facing a lot of difficulties due to some local police officials despite having permission. Few officials refuse to protect members involved in the film shooting including stars and technicians, while a few object to shooting on roads. Hence, only a single-window clearance could address these woes and make shootings hassle-free,” he adds.

During pandemic, single theatres were run for almost two years with negligible footfalls but they were asked to pay Rs 20,000 to 40,000 per theatre and its reduction or exemption will also be included in the wish list.
