Sandalwood star Shiva Rajkumar has offered heartfelt apology to actor Siddharth, who was compelled to leave a promotional event for his film Chithha in Bengaluru due to protests by a pro-Kannada group.
Protesters voiced concerns over Cauvery River dispute, disrupting the event. They also forced Siddharth to leave the venue immediately. The incident triggered severe backlash from Tamil Nadu, prompting senior Kannada actor, Shivanna to tender an apology to Siddharth.
In a video that is being widely circulated on social media platforms, Shiva Rajkumar says, “On behalf of our industry, I wish to offer our sincerest apologies to Siddharth. I am deeply saddened by this incident, and I assure you it will not be repeated. Kannada people are inherently warm-hearted. They have a deep affection for all films and languages. The people of Karnataka are known for embracing diverse cinema.”
