With voting for the next state legislative assembly fixed on May 12, the election commission, as part of its duty is working hard to create awareness amongst voters. This time, the renowned filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat has been chosen to do it in his style. Apart from penning lyrics and directed the song for the commission, he was allowed to shot on the iconic footsteps of Vidhana Soudha recently. Harikrishna has scored music and Imran Sardhariya has choreographed for the voting song.

The child artiste in the most telecasted public advertisement against smoking tobacco — Simran Natekar— makes her debut in the Kannada film Kajal opposite Santosh. The film is being directed by Sumanth Kranti of Naani fame. Starting at the age of four, Simran has acted in several TV ads, small screen and a couple of films.
