Thiruvananthapuram: Sarod Maestro Amjad Ali Khan has said that there was nothing unusual in registering the society running the Amjad Ali Khan International School of Music in Thiruvananthapuram under the house address of Soorya Krishnamoorthy. Mr Khan in a statement issued here on Thursday said that the society running the school was registered in his name. It is statutory to have a local address for registration and correspondence till a permanent address is obtained after the transfer of land.
As I live in Delhi and do not have a local address in Thiruvananthapuram, I have used Soorya Krishnamoorthy’s residence as my temporary local address, Mr Khan said. My family is known to Mr Krishnamoorthy for last 35 years. Though, Mr Krishnamoorthy resigned from the society in August 2016, I still keep his residence as my local address till I have address of my own in Thiruvananthapuram, Mr Khan said.
