Mumbai: The musician composed songs for his upcoming movie ‘Anaarkali of Aarah’ and ‘Colours of Life’, an English feature film set in Kolkata, directed by Prakash Bhardwaj.

Rohit is founding member and composer of progressive music band ‘Swaang’, the band is a group of actors, writers, directors and academics all involved in the film industry in various ways with ‘Swaang’ Band.

Rohit had recorded songs /background score for feature films like ‘Ship of Theseus’ directed by Anand Gandhi and ‘Budhha in a Traffic Jam’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri. He was also the involved in the music aspect of ‘Shortcut Safaari’ directed by Amitabha Singh.

‘Anaarkali of Aarah’ movie is based on star orchestra party performer and singer of double-meaning songs in Aaraah town of Bihar. The film revolves around the tumultuous journey of Anaarkali as a naachparty singer and a woman who is trapped in an unruly and volatile man's world.
