Malayalam actress abduction: Special Investigation Team claims to have solid evidence

Team to submit evidence before Kerala High Court.

Kochi: The Special Investigation Team probing the actor abduction and sexual assault case has claimed to have strong evidence against actor Dileep, including witnesses to the main accused Pulsur Suni making the conspiracy with him. The prosecution is expected to submit details of the fresh evidence of the meeting happened between the duo at a hotel here on March 13, 2013, before the High Court on Wednesday when it would place its arguments objecting allocation of bail to the actor.

Sources said the evidence will be submitted in a sealed cover as it cannot be revealed in an open court. Earlier in the day, the opposition argued before the court that the cops are framing the actor using Suni, who is a born criminal. It further pointed out that the probe in the case is almost over and the cops had even recovered the memory card and hence the actor should be allowed to go on bail. The Angamaly judicial magistrate court, earlier in the day, extended remand period of actor Dileep till September 2.

Meanwhile, Pulsar Suni made a U-turn from his previous stance and said the ‘Madam’ he had referred to earlier had no role in the attack of the actress on February 17 last. He made the fresh claims upon taken to the Kunnamkulam magistrate court. Suni also claimed he was acquainted with actress Kavya Madhavan and rejected her claims of not knowing him.
