Kochi: Police has decided to file a fresh affidavit opposing actor Dileep’s bail plea after the High Court asked the state to submit its stand when it comes up for the hearing Friday. Police sources claim that the allegations of Dileep that police cooked up the story is fake. His version that he filed a complaint through WhatsApp cannot be accepted as they got his formal complaint only on April 22.
Vishnu called Dileep's aide on March 28 to “blackmail” him.
DGP Loknath Behra, meanwhile, confirmed that Dileep indeed had filed a complaint based on the controversial letter. His complaint and further steps taken on it were parts of the investigation. He added that since the matter is sub judice, he would not make any further comment on the issue. Dileep had blamed ADGP Sandhya and his former wife, Manju Warrier. He had also criticised ad filmmaker Sreekumar Menon and alleged that he had played a role.
