While we had earlier reported that Asif Ali would be doing the lead role in the film Inspector Dawood Ibrahim, news now is that there is a change in the actor playing the title role. It is not Asif but Jayasurya who would be donning the role of Inspector Dawood Ibrahim. The film is written and directed by Sajid Yahiya and Arouz Irfan and will be their directorial debut. Sources indicate that the look of Jayasurya would be very different in this film.
The heroine of the film is Sshivada and the others in the cast include Joju George, Saiju Kurup and Sampath and the shoot has kickstarted in Kasargode. Sajid is an entrepreneur turned actor who had done notable roles in a handful of Malayalam movies. He started his movie career in 2011 with Collector and his character named Samy in Bangalore Days received a lot of appreciation. Arouz Irfan started off as an assistant director with the movie Friday and he had worked as an associate director in movies like Amen and Law Point. Later he worked as the chief associate director of Namaste Bali and Lukka Chuppi.
