Jai Akash has been roped in for an action thriller titled Rettai Piravi (Identical twins). Directed by Jai Nageswaran, Jai plays an investigating officer. The film has real life twins Vignesh Selvaraj and Vikram Selvaraj as the second heroes. London-based actresses Elizabeth Mannering, Bhavni Agarwal and Indian actress Alisha Chopra will play the female leads.
Talking to DC, Nageswaran says, “The story is inspired from a real life murder of one of the twins in London. Hence, the script needed real life identical twins and we auditioned many and finally chose Vignesh and Vikram. The story starts from Chennai where the twins grow up and travel to London when one of them gets murdered. Jai Akash will be commissioned to investigate the challenging case.”
On roping in a foreign actress, he says, “Elizabeth also essays a local officer who helps Akash in his investigation. Alisha Chopra who lives in Chennai and is working on the case will be seen as the romantic interest of one of the twins.” The director also reveals that there’s an extensive CG work in the film.
