Suriya and Chiranjeevi to lend voices for Rana Daggubati's film

The stars will be narrators for the Tamil-Telugu versions of the Bollywood war drama, The Ghazi Attack.

Despite their busy schedules, two of the biggest stars of south cinema, Suriya and Chiranjeevi, have agreed to lend their voices for the Tamil-Telugu versions of the Bollywood war drama, The Ghazi Attack, which stars Rana Daggubati as a naval officer and Taapsee as a refugee. Their voices will be used to narrate some crucial parts of the story. B’town superstar Amitabh Bachchan has already lent his voice for the original Hindi version.

While Chiru made a sensational comeback after a 10-year-long hiatus with his recent Khaidi No. 150, Suriya is awaiting the release of Si 3, the third instalment of his blockbuster Singam franchise. “Both actors are excited about being part of the project,” says a source.

Directed by Sankalp Reddy, the film is about the mysterious sinking of the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi, off India’s eastern seaboard, during the 1971 war. The supporting cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni, Nasser, Bharath Reddy and the late Om Puri. Produced by PVP Cinema, the film, which is said to be India’s first underwater war-at-sea film is gearing up for release on February 17.
