Hollywood studio distributes a Tamil movie

Besides writing and directing the movie, Arun Chidambaram also plays the lead role and has also won two Remi Awards.

Kanavu Variyam, a commercial entertainer based on power-cuts in villages across Tamil Nadu, has won seven international awards and 15 international honours, from nine countries. Impressed by the film, the prestigious Hollywood production house, Warner Bros. Pictures, has come forward to distribute Kanavu Variyam pan India.

Besides writing and directing the movie, Arun Chidambaram also plays the lead role and has also won two Remi Awards. Jiya debuts as the heroine. The other cast includes Ilavarasu, Black Pandy, Gnanasambandan, Yog Japee and Sendhil Kumari.

“KV is the first Tamil/south Indian film to be distributed by the prestigious Warner Bros Pictures and their association gives us the confidence for a big success at box-office. KV is a fun and feel-good entertainer that must be watched with kids. It is filled with humour, romance, sentiment and inspiration,” Arun Chidambaram tells us.
