Kamal Haasan announces Thalaivan Irukkiran

Kamal Haasan has been in the news almost everyday for his bold political statements. Today, however, he has made headlines for a different reason, and has made his fans go crazy. The actor has now announced his upcoming project Thalaivan Irukkiran, which was initially to go on floors years back. This flick has been on the backburner due to unforeseen reasons.

Thalaivan Irukkiran is tipped to be a film that will touch upon economics, politics and the underworld. A source close to the team reveals, “Thalaivan Irukkiran is a title that was registered by Raj Kamal International, a long time ago. This project will be his next flick post Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabaash Naidu.” Currently, the post production of Vishwaroopam 2 is underway and shooting of Sabaash Naidu is set to resume in a couple of months.

Apart from playing the lead (antagonist), Ulaganayagan will write and direct this film. Back in 2015, it was reported that Saif Ali Khan has been brought on board and the film was to be a Tamil-Hindi bilingual. We will have to wait and see if Kamal would rope in Saif now.

The announcement of Thalaivan Irukkiran has come at the right time when the people of Tamil Nadu are expecting his political entry.
