Legendary lyricist and poet Kannadasan’s grandson, Muthaiah Kannadasan, debuts as the protagonist in a film titled Vaanarapadai. Avanthika, a popular child model, plays the prominent role of Muthaiah’s daughter in the film.
Jayaprakash, a former associate of Keyar, who gave a hit film Naer Edhir, returns after a gap and wields the megaphone. Talking about the movie, Jayaprakash tells DC, “Small problems which arise between parents and children, when neglected initially, leads to a huge gap as they grow up. The movie deals with generation gap issues and emotional tussles between them. The story is set among families living in an apartment.” He also says that family audience will be able to connect with the theme of the movie. The director has handpicked talented kids who essay key characters in the family entertainer.
