While Vijay’s Mersal is still ruling the roost amid several controversies, news about Thalapathy’s 62nd film is slowly trickling in. We had reported that AR Murugadoss will be wielding the megaphone for Vijay’s upcoming film. Sun Pictures that has an array of films in hand will be bankrolling this venture.
The latest update is that cinematographer Girish Gangadharan who was lauded for his exceptional work in Malayalam films Kali, Angamaly Diaries and Solo is the new addition to the team of Thalapathy 62. The untitled film is expected to go on floors in January 2018, according to AR Murugadoss. He further stated that the film will be emotionally-driven with a social message.
Anirudh Ravichander who churned out peppy numbers in Kaththi, will once again score tunes for AR Murugadoss and Vijay. Rakul Preet Singh who acted in Spyder is rumoured to join hands with the Akira director yet again. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew of the film is expected to be out in the coming days.
