Director Pa Ranjith and Rajini are joining hands again for the second time post Kabali, and the proceedings are panning out in a similar fashion like they did for Kabali. Ranjith had rehearsals with all the actors before Kabali could go on floors, and the same process will take place this time around too. A source close to the film unit says, “The pre-production is speeding up, and just like Kabali, Ranjith will be holding rehearsal session for all the actors, and this will begin in the next 10 days.”
The source adds, “The title and first look will be announced next month before the crew can begin shooting, which will likely begin in mid-May.” The film will feature Vidya Balan as one of the female leads, and while the team is tight-lipped about the rest of the cast, the source tells that the official announcement with all details of the film will be out on May 1.
The film, produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films will be set in Mumbai. While Ranjith is expected to retain most of his technical team, the biggest question is whether Santhosh Narayanan will be replaced by Sean Roldan, who is now Dhanush’s blue-eyed boy.
