It was officially confirmed that Balaji Mohan and Dhanush would come together for the sequel of their 2015 mega-hit action comedy Maari. Speaking to DC, Balaji Mohan tells us that the second part of Maari has materialised now.
When asked about the cast and other aspects of the film, the director says, “I can’t reveal anything as of now, since the film is in a nascent stage.” However, Balaji assured that the film would start rolling at the start of 2017, and fans can expect it to release by the end of the year. Starring Kajal Aggarwal, Robo Shankar in pivotal roles, Maari followed the story of a local don. Anirudh Ravichander had composed the music for the film.
