Raghava Lawrence is busy wrapping up the shoot of his film Shivalinga, which is helmed by P Vasu. As the film’s shooting is coming to a close, reports suggest that the duo might team up yet again for another remake — and for this new film, Lawrence is likely to reprise the role of Superstar Rajinikanth in the superhit film Mannan!
The Kanchana 2 actor affirms that talks are on for the new film, “Shivalinga’s shooting is currently underway. We are planning to shoot a song in Bangkok. Right now, we are only discussing the possibility of a remake of Mannan.” It is also reported that actor Vadivelu has been roped in to reprise Goundamani’s role in the remake.
Lawrence’s affinity towards Rajinikanth’s films is evident since the actor also has plans to make a film titled Moondru Mugam. Notably, he has earlier acted in a film called Rajathiraja — the title of another Rajinikanth’s film.
Lawrance, who will also write the screenplay for Moondru Mugam, also revealed that he has plans for yet another film in the Kanchana series.

Anirudh Ravichandran has crooned for a peppy number in Shivalinga. The music composer of the film, Thaman, took to Twitter to share a picture from the studio. He wrote, “Rock Star @anirudhofficial sings for Music Sensation @MusicThaman 4 @offl_Lawrence ‘s #Shivalinga An energetic peppy number #RannguRakkarra.” (sic)
