To go with the trend of short filmmakers making their foray into silver screen, here is yet another talent Santhoshkumar, who has also bagged few awards in short film circuit and is following the same path. His debut film which has a quirky subject is titled Aaradi. The interesting part is that the film’s is protagonist is a lady who works in a graveyard as an undertaker (a profession which only men do).
Deepika Rangaraj is debuting as the lead. Vijayaraj will be seen as the hero. Talking about the movie, Sakthivel who has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues said, “I tweaked the normal practice of a man who works as a mortician in a burial ground and made the story in such a way that a woman does it. The kind of problems she faces in the society forms the crux. I personally feel that a woman can handle any kind of job even if it is physically demanding.” Director Santhoshkumar will also be in charge of editing.
