Saamy is one of the most notable cop flicks in the last few decades. Thanks to Hari’s racy screenplay and Vikram’s exceptional acting, the movie is a benchmark for many filmmakers, who aspire to make a flick on police
officials.
After 14 years, director Hari is coming up with a sequel to Saamy, which will feature a stellar cast including Vikram, Trisha, Keerthy Suresh and Bobby Simhaa in the lead roles.
Titled Saamy 2, the film is bankrolled by Shibu Thameens under his production banner. The film is all set to go on floors in Chennai on September 24. After wrapping up a schedule in Chennai, the team will also shoot important sequences in Tirunelveli, Kerala, New Delhi, Mussoorie and Nepal.
The latest additions to the team are veteran actor Prabhu and comedian Soori. The makers have roped in composer Devi Sri Prasad to score the tunes. The
technical team includes cinematographer Priyan, art director Milan and stunt choreographer Kanal Kannan.
