Director Vijay’s last hit, Devi, a trilingual horror comedy featuring Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah, will have a sequel now. But Vijay, who is in the post-production stage of Vanamagan with Jayam Ravi — will first move on to for the remake of Malayalam blockbuster Charlie, which has Madhavan in the lead.
When DC contacted Vijay’s office, actor Sanjay Bharathy, who is presently assisting Vijay in Vanamagan said, “Though I did few films as an actor, my passion for wielding the megaphone led me to join Vijay sir, who is committed to making good films. I assisted him in Devi and its other language versions as well.
Vijay sir is currently busy giving final touches to Vanamagan. Post its release, he will start the work on Charlie’s remake. Later, yes, there is a plan to work on Devi’s sequel.”
