Sunainaa bags Thondan

'I will join the sets of Thondan on December 23. The film deals with important societal issues', says Sunainaa.

Actress Sunainaa’s performance in Deekay’s Kavalai Vendam was unanimously appreciated by critics and the audiences. While the actress is in talks with several projects in Tamil and Telugu, she has now been signed on for Samuthirakani’s Thondan, which will feature Vikranth in the lead role.

Confirming the news, Sunainaa says, “I am really happy to have bagged this project and will join the sets on December 23. I am currently shooting for a Telugu project and I am looking forward to be a part of this ambitious team.”

Rumours were abuzz that the actress will be essaying Samuthirakani’s pair. When asked, Sunainaa neither confirmed nor denied the news. “I think it’s too early to talk about my characterisation. All I can say is that Thondan will deal with a lot of important societal issues,” she explains.

While Samuthirakani plays an ambulance driver in the film, Vikranth plays an ambulance attendant. The film is touted to be an action-drama and is set against the backdrop of a small-town. It will concentrate on the lives of four major characters.
