The latest update on the movie Thalapathi 63 directed by Atlee is K’town’s comedy sensation Yogi Babu has also been roped in by the makers AGS Entertainment. Earlier, actor Kathir of Pariyerum Perumal fame had been signed up. The film has Nayanthara as Vijay’s romancing pair and it is after a decade that Nayan will be sharing screen space with Vijay, their earlier movie having been Villu.
Everything about the story is being kept under wraps, but sources say the film revolves around women’s soccer and issues surrounding the sport. Vijay will be seen as a coach and 16 newcomer girls will be working with him.
The buzz has it that the film will be quite hard-hitting with political undercurrents. A major chunk of the shoot is said to take place in the US. It is the third time Atlee teams up with Vijay after Theri and Mersal and similarly AR Rahman who is composing the music for Thalapathy 63 joins hand with him consecutively since Mersal and Sarkar.
