Sonakshi Sinha, who made a sensational entry in Tamil cinema, opposite Superstar Rajinikanth in Lingaa, concentrated on her Bollywood projects, since the Tamil movie received a lukewarm response from the audiences. Now, we hear that the actress has been brought on board as Vijay’s pair by AR Murugadoss, for his next titled Vijay 62. The Lingaa actress and ARM share a great rapport as they had earlier worked on several occasions. And if all goes well, this will be the third time that ARM will join hands with Ilayathalapathy after super hit flicks — Thuppakki and Kaththi.
Sona played the lead in the titular role of ARM’s recent Hindi venture, Akira and Holiday, the Bollywood remake of Thuppakki. Reportedly, the daughter of Bollywood hero-turned-politician has said, “I’m ready to star in Murugadoss sir’s next film as I have already worked with him in a couple of films. I have watched Vijay’s Thuppakki and Kaththi and feel he is a good actor. I won’t let an opportunity to pair opposite him get away.”
Yet another interesting development is that ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan who teamed up with Vijay and ARM in Thuppakki, is said to be cranking the camera. Talking to DC, Santhosh Sivan says, “Currently, I am shooting for ARM and Mahesh Babu’s bilingual film. Until anything is finalised, I won’t be able to say anything concrete.” Vijay 62 is likely to go on floors later this year. Meanwhile, Vijay would complete his film with Atlee, while ARM will wrap up his Telugu-Tamil bilingual with Mahesh Babu.
