Haripriya saved just in time from drowning in a pool

I was awake all through the night and swimming for almost ten hours, says Haripriya.

Actress Haripriya and controversy go hand in hand. This time around, she reportedly almost drowned in a swimming pool while shooting for the bilingual titled Atharvanam in Tamil. Kannada hero Vijay Raghavendra is being introduced in Tamil with this film. When DC contacted the film’s director Aadhiraajan of Silandhi fame, he admitted there was a huge commotion and the whole crew was shocked during the nightmarish incident.

“We were shooting a swimming pool scene with Haripriya on the outskirts of Bengaluru from evening 6 to next day early morning 6. Despite the cold climate, Haripriya was continuously in water in the deep end of 12 feet for almost 10 hours. When the shooting was about to wrap up, one of our unit members noticed that the actress was losing her balance in water and within a fraction of a second she went under. A technician who knew swimming jumped and rescued her immediately. She was given first aid and sent to her room.”

Heaping praise on Haripriya, Aadhi continues, “Shell shocked, Priya’s mother who accompanied her picked a huge quarrel with us and was not letting her continue the shooting. The thorough professional that she is, Haripriya, after taking an hour’s break, rejoined the shoot.” She said, “The weather was very cold. I was awake all through the night and swimming for almost ten hours. It was very exhausting and I could not hold on anymore. I had worked really hard for the movie. On earlier two occasions while at shoot, I got severely hurt and started bleeding. I hope my hard work will pay off.”
