After Kaththi Sandai’s mediocre business at the box-office, Vishal has been concentrating on his upcoming film Irumbu Thirai and the forthcoming producer council election, which is slated to happen in March. Irumbu Thirai, produced by Vishal is being helmed by debutant director, PS Mithran. Samantha has been roped in to play the female lead.
We had reported that Vishal’s close buddy and actor Arya has been finalised to play the antagonist in the thriller. However, Arya decided to opt out of the film as he thought that this isn’t the right time for him to play a role with negative shades. Since then, the team has been looking for suitable replacements for the role of a stylish villain.
Now, it is being speculated that ‘Action King’ Arjun is being considered for the role. A source confirms the news and says, “The news is true and talks have been initiated with the actor. But, he is yet to come on board. We have completed shooting some major sequences in the city.” Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematographer George C Williams and editor Ruben are part of the technical team.
