Raghava Lawrence, who is busy with his directorial debut in Bollywood with the Akshay Kumar film Laxmmi Bomb (a remake of his horror genre Kanchana 2), is all set to team up with Lingusamy. The latter had been keeping a low profile post his flick Sandakozhi 2, a sequel to his earlier blockbuster with the same name.
The new film is said to be the remake to Tollywood super hit Ram Charan-Samantha film Rangasthalam. A period action drama, directed by Sukumar, it had an agriculture backdrop. A Mumbai producer bankrolls the Tamil remake. Interestingly, ace cinematographer Madhie, known for his work in films like Shaitan and the recently released Saaho, will be behind the camera.
