Parthiban Desingu is debuting with the movie Natpe Thunai , with Hiphop Aadhi in the lead and produced by Sundar C. Set in Puducherry, the film is based on hockey with a blend of friendship and romance. Anagha debuts as the heroine.
“I have played hockey in my schooldays and one of friends who played with me is a national level player now. So far Tamil cinema has not exploited this game. All those who worked in the film including its hero Aadhi and heroine Anagha were given training in hockey for six months.
All of us were injured on the field. I always kept a standby doctor, nurse and water tanker during the shoots.”
He adds, “The last 25 minutes of the film, which involves hockey matches, are the highlight of the film. There are no smoking and drinking scenes. The film talks about importance of friendship.
I dedicate this film to those players who are rejected despite their talents.” Pandiarajan, Kausalya, Harish Uthaman, Karu Palaniappan play crucial roles.
