Krishna plays a gangster in Malayalam debut

After Vishal made his debut in Mohanlal film Villain, recently we saw actor Jai entering M'town with Mammootty starrer Madhura Raja.

Malayalam heroines are normally a preferred lot for Tamil filmmakers as they migrate to K’town for better prospects. On the contrary, Tamil actors seem to be making a beeline to Mollywood now. After Vishal made his debut in Mohanlal film Villain, recently we saw actor Jai entering M’town with Mammootty starrer Madhura Raja.

It is now the turn of actor Krishna. The actor who started as a child artiste with a Mani Ratnam film later turned a hero with movies like Alibaba, Kazhgu and Yaamitukka Bayamey. Krishna’s recent outing alongside Dhanush in Maari 2 was well received where he played a gangster with a heart. He is all set to entertain Malayalam audiences with his entry in a film titled Picasso, directed by Sunil Kariattukara of Pakida fame. Sheikh Afzal is producing the film.

Talking about his M’town venture, Krishna says, “I essay a 40-year-old gangster who is a happy go lucky guy. The film has lot of emotions and is a family drama. It has newcomers in the lead and we have already started shooting in Trissur.” The actor also reveals that he has put on a few kilos to look his part while also sporting partial grey hair.
