Serena Williams just hit the red carpet for the first time since giving birth. The tennis star stepped out at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in a black and gold dress and showed off her toned arm muscles as she posed on the carpet, reports EOnline.com. The 36-year-old sports personality also presented model Gigi Hadid with the Supernova Award and revealed just how strong their bond actually is. “Gigi,” Serena shared onstage, “You are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby — for one night — but for you it shows how much you mean to me. And I want you to imagine the effect you have on the world.”
Serena, who welcomed daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr with fiancé Alexis Ohanian in September, added, “She understands that in order to be the best, you have to think like you are the best, work the hardest, and make sacrifices. Gigi pushes boundaries. In fact, she makes new boundaries. And she’s authentically herself.”
