One of Hollywood’s most exciting relationships is finally getting some closure. Gisele Bündchen and Leonardo DiCaprio dated between 2000 and 2005 and in the spring issue cover story for PORTER, the model is finally explaining what went wrong.
Gisele revealed that she made the difficult decision to split from Leo after she realised she needed a change in lifestyle. “No longer numbing myself with smoking, drinking and too much work. I was becoming more and more aware of things that I’d chosen not to look at. Was I alone in wanting to do some serious soul-searching while he stayed the same? In the end, unfortunately, the answer was yes.”
The 38-year-old model was Leo’s date to the 2005 Oscars where he was nominated for The Aviator the only time he’s brought a girlfriend as his date to the ceremony.
