After Twitter outrage, Vishal Dadlani apologises 33 times for targeting a Jain monk

Singer and composer Vishal Dadlani was also one of those who argued how politics should be kept aside from religion.

Mumbai: On August 26, a monk addressed the Haryana Assembly and soon, the pictures of a nude monk delivering a speech in the assembly became a serious topic of discussion everywhere, including Twitter.

While many debated over how politics should be kept aside from religion, few also threw light on how a Jain nude monk was not obscenity and simply an important part of Jainism.

Singer and composer Vishal Dadlani was also one of those who argued how politics should be kept aside from religion. In his tweet, Vishal called Digambar Jain monk Tarun Sagar’s speech as ‘monkery’. Vishal took to Twitter to express his views. He tweeted with a picture, “If you voted for these people, YOU are responsible for this absurd nonsense! #NoAchcheDin, just #NoKachcheDin.”

In his tweet, Vishal cleared how he has a problem with religion in governance.

Within few minutes, his comment faced a serious backlash from Twitterarti, as offended people slammed him for his insensitive disrespectful remark. Not only user but Vishal’s ‘friends’ such as Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal criticized the singer on Twitter.

Those who don’t know, Vishal Dadlani is a member and firm supporter of Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP.

Vishal even aplogised to Kejriwal by tweeting, "I'm sorry to have offended you and your beliefs too, Sir. My intent was not to hurt anyone. Spoke without thinking."

As he found himself standing all alone against everyone else, Vishal soon took a step back and apologised to everyone for his comment that hurt religious sentiments.

Ever since his tweet, the singer has been apologizing to people, 33 times to be precise.

After apologising to one and all, Vishal then decided to quit AAP and his association with politics.
