Shah Rukh Khan's Khanundrum: Aamir's Salute or Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next

Not many can understand the dilemma of stars like Shah Rukh Khan, when they’re forced to choose between two interesting projects.

King Khan right now has been caught between choosing between a film left by Aamir Khan that was recommended to him by the actor himself, and a movie for Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

A while ago, the actor did confirm that Bhansali spoke to him about a film. He had also attended a water conservation event for Aamir, when the latter fell ill. Aamir returned the favour by offering him Salute, a film on astronaut Rakesh Sharma, which he wanted to opt out of. Aamir, reportedly, wants to concentrate on his Mahabharata franchise.

“Salute will be interesting for SRK, because he was seen at NASA for Swades. If he picks up the Mahesh Mathai movie, it will be an extension of a career he left off, to return to his roots in Swades. But then, the film requires a lot of research and seriousness that Aamir would have lent to it. SRK has his own way of approaching his characters,” reveals a source. “Swades got SRK a lot of accolades as an actor, which is why he’s keen on Salute. But at the same time, a Bhansali film isn’t what he can ordinarily reject.”

Devdas is considered one of SRK’s best performances till date, and he would be keen to associate with him again. There had been some bad blood between the two when Saawariya clashed with Om Shaanti Om and Bajirao Mastani did with Dilwale.
