Richa makes Twitter private

Richa reveals that she has turned it into private because she wants to spend less time on mindless scrolling

The debate around nepotism after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise led many Bollywood stars such as Sonam Kapoor Ahuja to make her Twitter account private while Sonakshi Sinha opted to completely delete it.

Now, joining the bandwagon is Richa Chadha. While it was the continuous negative and demeaning rant by netizens that forced Sonam and Sonakshi to take this drastic step, the Masan actress’s reasoning is totally personal.

Richa reveals that she has turned it into private because she wants to spend less time on mindless scrolling. “Am making my account private. It’s not because this platform is toxic (the world is toxic Tbh ab kya karein). I am here to help, support, amplify, crack a joke only, but I have a deadline and this mindless scrolling takes too much time (sic),” wrote the actress along with sharing a screenshot from her mobile phone, which shows that her screentime is currently four hours and 14 minutes per day.

Her weekly total is 29 hours and 40 minutes, out of which 19 hours and 49 minutes have been spent on social networking and nine hours particularly on Twitter.

However, Richa’s announcement of changing it to private at this point got a mixed reaction from her followers. “The best mantra for happiness and prosperity is to delete all your social media accounts,” wrote one. While another user urged, “But please don’t quit Twitter.”
