Makers plan a prequel to Angry Indian Goddesses, will go on floors in September

Apart from the main cast, some Bollywood A-listers will be roped in for the prequel.

Mumbai: The Pan Nalin directed ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’, which was well received by the audiences, is all set to get a prequel. Earlier the makers were skeptical about making a sequel but after receiving overwhelming response to the film, they have decided to go ahead with one.

According to reports, apart from the main cast including Sarah-Jane Dias, Anushka Manchanda, Sandhya Mridul, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Amrit Maghera and Rajshri Deshpande will remain the same, some Bollywood A-listers will be roped in for the prequel.

The film created quite a stir at film festivals and garnered critical acclaim. The prequel is all set to go on floors in next six months.

'Angry Indian Goddesses' is a riotous roller coaster of girl bonding. It revolves around a wild bunch of girls from all over India descent upon Goa as their closest friend Freida is getting married.
