Race 3: Salman meets Bhagyashree's son, experts call it miracle if 200 crore film

Abhimanyu will debut in Vasan Bala's Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota' which is slated to release this year.

Salman Khan starrer ‘Race 3’ has already crossed the 120 crore mark within 4 days despite bad reviews.

But trade analysts believe that the movie will not be able to make it to the 200 crore club and in fact, call it a “miracle” if it does.

"The euphoria around Salman Khan's Eid release has already worked and that shows in the first three days' collection. But things are not looking encouraging. Barring die-hard Salman fans, audiences haven't liked the film. It will be difficult for it to sustain, especially in multiplexes," trade analyst Amod Mehra told Mid-Day.

"It will be a miracle if the film reaches Rs. 200 crore. If that doesn't happen, distributors, who have paid a heavy price, will stand to lose," he stated.

"However, the film is going strong in the single screeners across the country. The only advantage is that there is no big release next week, so that will help add numbers to the lifetime collection of the film," he added.

Salman, who recently attended a screening of his film, met his ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ co-actress Bhagyashree’s son.

An onlooker told DNA, "Abhimanyu went up to him and introduced himself. Salman and he spoke for a good 15 minutes and the superstar even asked the young actor to show his first film to him."

Abhimanyu will debut in Vasan Bala's ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ which is slated to release this year.
